I've finally switched vets. These guys mark up and nickel & dime you with no shame. I sent my daughter in with our dog recently to get shots and started on gabapentin and carprofen for her arthritis. They make you buy Rx from them and will not write a script to get meds way cheaper from an online pharmacy. They didn't take a blood test at first to get a baseline. Then after getting her boosters, they told my daughter she had to buy Vetri Flex, which they charged her $75.89 for the bag. My dog refused to eat them. This all seemed sketch so I took her to Magic Valley vet hospital and they confirmed what I suspected-the Cosequin tablets I get way cheaper at Costco are just fine for getting her enough Glucosamine. They write scripts so you can buy the meds for literally half the cost Larue charges through an online pharmacy. And since she'd been on the gabapentin and carprofen for a couple weeks they couldn't take a baseline for the blood test, and we had to start all over. I went back to see if I could get a refund for the Vetri Flex I didn't ask for and they refused, saying they couldn't take returned meds because of Federal law. I doubt that law says they can't refund you for charging you for stuff you didn't ask for. Had to file a claim with my card company. Not to mention, their hours of operation are ridiculous. 9-12, then closed until 3pm. Closed Fri-Sun. They guilt trip you if you question any of their exorbitant charges and give nonsense explanations about why the quality of the marked up stuff they sell is somehow better. I just can't trust a business that pulls that nonsense.

My parents and I take our 3 dogs and 2 cats here. We love them. They saved our cats life when he got a severe UTI (which is deadly for cats). People keep saying that the staff is rude, which isn't the case. They have a small staff of 3 and A LOT of animals to tend to. Therefor they are very busy (giving our pets 5☆ love and care). Misty is just very blunt and to the point which I suppose some people aren't used to and can't handle. However she is very good to our animals which is what matters. If they find your animals are in need of something else i.e. antibiotics, vitamins, allergy treatment, etc. They take care of it. They are very educated, skilled, compassionate with our furry family members and we just love going there.

Don't take your pet here unless you like getting charged 2-3 times more than everywhere else.

All of my GSDs have gone to Dr Larue. He and his staff know my dog, they take great care of him and I can trust what they prescribe.

Love this vet clinic! Clean, affordable, and efficient with wonderful people! My poor cat got into it with a rock chuck and really got his paw and leg messed up. They got my baby boy in quickly, was able to save his leg from being amputated, provided my boy with great care. Other vets around were so busy that they suggested an emergency vet which would have costed much more. LaRue saved us from a high priced vet visit. Highly recommend this clinic!
