“This venue truly is a hidden gem. It was the first venue we visited and after 10+ other ones, we still couldn’t get it out of our head. We got married in August, when the greenery was full, so it meant the space was naturally beautiful and didn’t need as much florals or decor. Our guests all kept commenting on what a cozy, intimate, gorgeous space it was. The redwood grove ceremony was just stunning. We had 80 people total and it was the perfect size. Shout out to Kathy! She is a saint for responding to all my emails over the course of a year. From the get go, she was friendly, had a list of recommendations, and was transparent about any venue restrictions or needed rentals. The drawbacks: End time—it has an 8pm music cut off time due to a local noise ordinance. We ended up starting earlier in the day and reserved space at a bar in Santa Cruz for an after party, so it was fine but a logistical challenge. It meant our guests coming from San Jose had to drive during peak beach traffic time (it took some 2 and a half hours…) and we wanted to safely shuttle everyone to the after party so that was an extra cost. All outdoor space—we were so lucky our weather was 80 and sunny with a light breeze. It was perfect. But let me tell you, I was a mess for a year until I could finally see the forecast. The sun also beat down on some guests and the dance floor for about an hour during the reception, but again this was during August. Bathrooms—we originally estimated 100 guests and unfortunately there’s only one real bathroom for guests so we needed to rent a trailer which was an additional $1200. It was okay as I wiggled the budget around a little, but ouch. Would I have my wedding here again? Absolutely. Without a doubt. It was beautiful and unique. My recommendation is to be flexible with as much as you can and maybe book in fall when the sun is in a better position and you can add some lights for a cozy evening time.”

They also assisted in the hiring of a bartender to serve guest. We hired a band for the event and everything went off without a hitch. We were introduced to our coordinator, Heather, a few months prior to our wedding date and she was a joy to work with. Very thorough and easy to communicate with. “Waterfall Lodge was everything we could’ve asked for and more in a venue. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, stunning - guests described it as a “fairytale”. The on-site team was ready to direct, shuttle guests, and answer any questions. Communication leading up to our wedding was way too easy. We loved that they had all the furniture rentals we needed on site. The yard games and fire pit were huge hits, too. Lodging for our guests the night of the wedding was also great. Our guests (some with very high standards and lots of travel experience) told us that they loved the venue, the accommodations, and the communication from Waterfall leading up to our wedding day about their cabin reservations. We truly cannot recommend Waterfall Lodge more. Thank you for being a part of our special day!! “Having our wedding at Casa Bella was the best decision we could have ever made. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, it met all our non-negotiables (ceremony & reception in one area and close to airports/hotels) to make it as easy as possible for our guests. We worked with Leann and Yoselin and they are absolutely lovely throughout the entire process. The entire staff also did such an wonderful job making sure all our guests were well-fed - I didn't hear a single complaint the entire night. If you're looking for an inclusive venue, Casa Bella is a must. We went with their hors d'oeuvres, 3 course meal, open bar (I was overjoyed when they allowed bloody mary's as a signature drink and it was DELICIOUS) and late night snacks and everything was amazing. They also provided us with an outdoor ceremony tent to help us with the heat. Oh, and they have decorations you can rent at a cost or for FREE! We used Weddings with Athena as our coordinator, Celestial Petals as our florist, Ditto Dianto as our photographer, Benji Films (La Venus Studio) as our videographer, and DJ TN with Twin Spin Entertainment as our DJ/MC. All vendors were already familiar with the venue which made the entire planning a breeze. I hope to visit again as a guest as I will be recommending this venue to all future brides & grooms. The ceremony was outside in there lovely, intimate, courtyard with the reception inside the beautiful historic building designed by Julia Morgan. ( who designed Hearst Castle), The building is preserved by the Saratoga Foothill Women’s Club so it is in great shape with a banquet hall that easily fit our 65 people and a stage which was perfect for the DJ. My daughter and her fiancé fell in love with this site as soon as they saw it! Their Event Manager is Steve Meyberg, an absolutely lovely gentleman and owner of Gunther’s Deli & Catering, who is the primary caterer for the venue. We used his services and it was wonderful! Definitely, talk to Steve! You’ll love him! So if you are planning an event with less than 100 people, check out this venue!”

We fell so in love with the space, we were able to use it for our rehearsal dinner the night before as well. We practiced the ceremony, and enjoyed pizzas and speeches around the fire pit. Guests loved getting to use the space for both events, and it made it easy on us to plan. It was very clear to us we were in the best hands in the industry, and our expectations were somehow still exceeded. The whole process turned out to be seamless and beautiful. The event staff was so down to earth and attentive, we seriously felt like royalty all day. We wanted an April wedding, and were kindly warned about potential rain... Lindsey kept us in the loop and was flexible offering us the perfect spot in front of beautiful redwood trees lining a small creek. This venue gave us the perfect mix of an outdoorsy feel, with a luxurious dining and dancing reception experience. The many different landscapes on the property made for stunning photos. It has been so special to look back on them and remember how Little Hills Events did such a great job of celebrating our unique love story. Months later as we prepared to welcome our baby girl we returned to Little Hills Events to host our baby shower in their picnic area.
