“I wanted to have a Bosch IDP Premium installed before the tax credits disappeared, so I contacted all of the major Bosch-approved installers around Sacramento to get quotes. I'm fairly well versed in heat pumps and the basics of HVAC systems, and I knew what I wanted out of a contractor/company, so I let them lead and ask questions to see how much they knew and if they were going to do things right. Vasiliy with A Cool Air immediately stood out because he was THE ONLY person who asked to get access to my tiny crawlspace to inspect my ducting, and one of two who noted the return duct sizing being far too small for the existing 4 ton unit. Everyone else, all the 5 star rated big companies, just came out and gave me a quote to swap like for like, whether or not it would run efficiently. Not only that, but A Cool Air came back with extremely fair pricing, no joke, HALF of what some of the big companies asked for the exact same unit. We're talking 10K+ in savings, and with better services at that. Vasiliy was always awesome with answering all of my questions, and made all of the adjustments I asked for. “Had purchased a new to us home that was 21 years old with the original hvac system. I had gone through 6 different companies getting estimates and consultations of which new system would be good for our two story home. House was set up with two zones and a couple companies tried steering me in the direction of making it just a 1 zone hvac system with one thermostat. I was highly against that as heat rises so upstairs would be warmer in the winter and summer so trying to get downstairs and upstairs within a comfortable temp range would be difficult. Came across Green home heating and air because the owner Pablo lives down the street so i always see the van in front of his house. Reached out to Pablo and he was very easy going and spent the time to walk through exactly the best system to get and no pressure on signing a work order same day like another company tried. Ended up taking advantage of a rebate from Smud and the federal tax credit rebate on a heat pump system which meant getting rid of the gas furnace and the heat pump has been doing great providing heat for the house. My daily usage on electricity has gone up slightly for the winter but I’m still saving roughly $6 a day by not having to pay PG&E for gas for the gas furnace and I’m even keeping the house a degree warmer! Super great install from start to finish. Even was able to change the location of the outdoor unit to the side of the house! Pablo and his team had made sure everything was working as it should and done in a neat way even when it meant staying until 10pm on New Year’s Eve to finish the install when they started at 7am! They also installed a new hot water heater which is more storage capacity than the previous! The attention to detail Pablo and his team provided on making sure everything looked nice to the eye was great! The team did not rush the job in anyway possible. I am super pleased with the experience i had and am so glad i went with Green home heating and air!”
