They did outstanding work (especially given they were dealing with higher end mahogany and glass doors) and went the extra mile to find a solution that would work best for an older dog with mobility issues. From start to finish they were a pleasure to work with and truly cared about quality and customer satisfaction. They were here long after a normal work day would have normally ended, and we were quite impressed with all they accomplished. “I had a great experience working with Cal Coast to replace my old single pane casement windows. I had gotten a number of quotes and Cal Coast came in at a good balance of reasonable price and their offering of brand and types of windows I wanted. The process probably took longer than normal because my town has very stringent permitting requirements and I decided to do it myself vs using Cal Coast’s services. Mike and the team were super responsive, helpful and patient during the process especially since we had to change our window schedule multiple times to meet design and permitting requirements. Once windows were order and shipped, installation was quick and the team was great answering our questions during installation and even went the extra mile to help make sure our existing shades fit with our new windows. “Our experience with American Vision Windows started off on a great note thanks to Project Manager Chris Mojarro. He was our first point of contact and came to our home to go over everything in detail. From the beginning, Chris was knowledgeable, helpful, and communicative—he made the entire planning and prep process easy and stress-free. His support continued all the way through to installation day, and we truly appreciated his professionalism. On the day of installation, the crew arrived promptly at 8 AM and immediately got to work. There were eight people on site, and they worked efficiently and respectfully. They took great care in protecting our home—laying down coverings on the floors and using plastic to shield our furniture. Demo started right away, and they managed to wrap up the entire job by 1:30 PM! Mark and Luis H were the job leads and did an excellent job managing the team. “We had a bedroom window and patio sliding glass door that needed replacing due to them being 20 years old and falling apart from a different window maker and designer. We reached out to Pella and I came in contact with Bobby Mcmillan and Cindy Taylor to inquire about getting a quote and if they could help with design ideas and options. Bobby came out to our place and was very accommodating to work the appointment anround our busy schedules. Bobby was extremely professional and it was clear that he was equally knowledgeable about what options would suit us best, especially since we live near SFO and have a great deal of noise pollution. Never once did we feel that he was trying to sell us on upgrades or pressure us into the most expensive options, he genuinely seemed to just want to provide us with the ability to make the best informed decision to meet our needs. In addition, we have an HOA that has restrictions around the types of windows/doors that can be installed here. Surprisingly, he was already familiar with what would qualify to meet the restrictions and saved us the hassle of trying to figure it out on our own. He even provided everything we needed up front for the architectural application so the work could be approved including model numbers, materials, installation times and completion dates. Cindy was able to make the ordering and transaction seemless. She kept us informed of the status of the order, and helped us to coordinate the installation. She was very polite and patient. “Fantastic service. Open and honest. I had two places that needed windows, my place and my sister's. Chico came out and measured both places and you can immediately tell that he is an expert and that put me at ease. Both buildings are old and my sister's required custom windows (SF regulation) since it was an old building with original 1908 windows. Window and Door Shop manufactured six custom ornate windows that perfectly matched the original ones, down to the grooves on the wood. I needed 4 Marvin casement windows at my place and the crew did a quick and thoroughly clean job installing them. Our dog scratched the interior wood of one and Chico said that he will send a crew out to sand it down and re-finish the tiny nick and give us the bottle of the finish just in case our dog gets a little too excited about the postal carrier again. Great business. I would recommend Window and Door enthusiastically. Chico, Danielle and the installation crew are top notch.”
