“My dentist (who I chose because they specialize in treating fearful patients), referred me to Dr. Lee. I needed my wisdom teeth pulled and just talking about it was scary. Let’s start with 1) The location is so easy to get to. Plenty of parking which matters to an already nervous person. 2) The front office staff are extremely kind and efficient. I had all the info I needed before my appointment so I barely had to fill out anything before my appointment. 3) They really know how to use technology to send reminders, confirm appointments, send videos, etc. It was easy!! 4) The consultation was thorough and Dr. Lee provided me with options when there were choices I could make. I felt confident about the procedure going in. 5) Prior to the day of, I received videos of the process, my rx was called into the pharmacy for me, and the office called me to confirm and remind me how the day of the appointment would be. 6) The day of the procedure was so smooth. Dr. Lee and her colleagues were gentle and kind and I’m still in shock how little pain/discomfort I’ve had (it’s been one week). Dr. Lee made sure I was completely pain free before, during, and for many hours after the procedure. The instructions allowed me to keep in front of the swelling and pain so that the experience was not bad at all. For me, that’s the highest level of praise I can give for dental work! :) I would recommend anyone needing oral surgery to see Dr. Lee and her team. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine dedication to helping their patients feel less afraid, have less pain, and heal quickly is amazing!”

“I hardly write reviews, but I felt the need to write a review about my positive experience at Lakeshore Oral Surgery. I was referred for wisdom teeth removal by my dentist and I’m so glad that they referred me here. I felt nervous about the process because I’m well into adulthood and wasn’t certain if the procedure and recovery would be prolonged and difficult. Thankfully, that hasn’t been the case and I was well prepared and educated throughout the process. Dr. Ephraim Aklilu was kind and compassionate. He took the time to get to know me a bit, communicated well throughout the process, and anticipated my needs and questions along with the nurses/assistants. The actual procedure went smoothly, and I had no discomfort during and right after. When the sedation/local anesthesia wore off, I was already equipped with prescriptions and information to feel well prepared for the recovery process so I did not feel confused/unprepared or like my pain was out of control. From beginning to end, my experience was nothing short of marvelous. He, and his staff were attentive, and really welcoming, and made the whole procedure (including a follow up oral surgery) as easy and low stress as possible. Later, I met with Dr. Caesar many times, over the course of a year to fit and refine my Invisaligns. The costs are upfront (one and done), the results are of the highest quality, and everyone: from Michelle, their amazing dental concierge, to the doctors and front desk staff alike, make dental visits a pleasure. “I had my lower wisdom teeth and a molar removed, and I’m grateful they’re finally out so healing can begin. On a side note: the anesthesia experience was terrible. Weeks before Medi-Cal approved the surgery, I disclosed that I’m on Ozempic and prediabetic. Yet on the day of the procedure, as I’m already in the chair, the doctor tells me that because I’m on Ozempic and snore lightly, I’ll only receive light anesthesia. Let me tell you — it was so light I could have walked out and driven myself home afterward. I didn’t feel drowsy like promised; instead, I felt everything as the doctor was digging and cutting around in my mouth. Patients should be aware that anesthesia may not match what’s initially explained”

The reason I stayed is not only because of the clinical staff, but because of the friendliness of the receptionists. Recently they have changed to a clerical staff on an iPad completing the check in process, which feels very impersonal and robotic. I would appreciate if they switch back to having a live person at the front to make the office experience better.”

They will talk you through your x-rays, show you pictures of the work and explain the processes and procedures.
