“We recently completed a home extension and remodel at our primary residence with Done Right Home Builders and Remodeling. Our project manager, Oren, was communicative, responsive, and kept a positive attitude throughout the entire process. Jon and the crew also did a great job. While it’s common to hear that projects like this go over budget and fall behind schedule, ours was completed on time. Some parts of the project did go over the initial budget, but those were mainly due to upgrades we chose or factors outside the company’s control. Overall, we’re happy with the results and the quality of the work. Just keep in mind that their services may come at a slightly higher-than-average price point, but the outcome was worth it for us.”

“We just finished up a 3 month project with Bay Builders on a major transformation of the sunroom, kitchen, living room and dining room (and some other smaller items) and we could not be happier with the results. We recently moved into the home and had a vision in mind for what we wanted. Ofir, Rene and the rest of the Bay Builders team turned that dream into a reality and then some! First, the project was not easy as the home was a bit older and there were some structural changes that needed to be done. Ofir and Rene were communicative with the change orders (including some key recommendations like changing the flooring in the sunroom and upgrading the electrical panel to code) and very fair with pricing. We had a fixed budget initially and managed to stay within those bounds. In addition, the timelines matched expectations set from the initial project proposal (even with some unforeseen changes with the electrical panel upgrade). Rene and his team were quick, thorough, clean and extremely professional. My wife and I are thrilled we partnered with Bay Builders on this project, and would highly recommend them and work with them again in the future.”

“We bought a house in Pleasanton that was a perfect location for our family, but the inside needed quite a bit of work. The projects included re-wiring the entire house, remodeling a guest bathroom, completely remodeling the kitchen, removing a wall, redoing flooring, drywall, insulation, and updating the laundry room. After interviewing 6+ contractors we decided on Inspired Builders and are extremely happy with our decision. Our project manager Eden was with us from the very first meeting and was instrumental to making sure the entire process went smoothly. Eden was very responsive & professional, explain (and followed through on) the company's remodeling process which included a designer, 3D renderings, help with materials, tight timelines, and a 'no surprise' promise. We purchased our house in the summer and wanted to move quickly to be able to finish the remodel before the holidays and Inspired Builders got it done for us. They did pre-signing meetings with us, handled all the permits, met us to finalize the design and materials, and communicated an appropriate amount during the entire process. We chose to move out of our house for 2 months so this communication was very welcomed. They were very reasonable with the minor changes we requested mid-build, and kept their promise to not charge me extra for any surprises that we encountered during demolition/construction. Even the crew literally working and painting our house was very friendly, clean, and helped us with questions when we would occasionally visit. The final results look incredible and all of our family is amazed to see the transformation. My wife says she feels like we are living in "one of those houses from a magazine". We intend to hire them to finish the rest of the house when we are ready.”

“We spent almost six years dreaming about remodeling our kitchen, and this year, we hired Wise Builders to handle it. We could not have been happier! The remodel included (among other things): taking the kitchen down to the studs/subfloor to check for damage, the removal of walls, the building of a pantry and additional storage closet between the kitchen and entryway, the replacement of a window, installation of new cabinets, countertops, flooring, fixtures, and lighting, the replacement of a standard water heater with a tankless water heater and water softener, and the installation of tile on a fireplace (dining room). They did this all while we continued to live in our house, and it was a good experience. They were courteous and kept dust in the rest of the house to a minimum. Michael G. (the project manager) as great to work with. We interviewed four companies, but Michael won the bid. From the beginning, I knew that I was in good hands, and he guided us through every decision and unexpected circumstance. His foremen (Carlos and Juan) and their team (including Roberto and Kevin) worked really hard to make our vision a reality. Shout out to Michelle as well, who designed the cabinet layout. We would definitely hire Wise again, and I'd recommend working with Wise (and especially Michael) to anyone. “The Dreamprint Home Remodeling team helped with our kitchen and bathroom remodel, including converting a mudroom into a new bathroom. Mendy drew up our permit drawings and got the permit approved with the city of San Jose. He was quick and responsive, and worked to the timeframes he promised. He was familiar with the city of San Jose and went in person to get our permit approved quickly. When we had to make alterations to the permit drawings (we discovered necessary changes as demolition and rough work proceeded), he did them very quickly and walked in again to get approval on the spot, keeping our project on time. He also gave great advice with regards to inspection appointments.”

“We hired NuHome Remodeling for our house remodeling which started with addition and 3 bath room remodel, but ended up with pretty much full house remodel including the full kitchen remodeling as well. The project managers that we had worked with were Tony, Issac and Amit. The experiences that we had with the team were exceptional, Tony and his team leads were very professional, patient, attentive to details, and transparent to the cost. They were excellent in communications and never delay responding to our messages, usually within a few minutes or within hours for any questions that we ask at any time of the day. In terms of services, they are like one stop shop that includes almost everything that we need from a contractor for remodeling so it really saved a lot of our time from talking with different people for different phases of the remodel. Their team has the architect who started with the floor plan with us, with a lot of back and forth discussions and our inputs taken into considerations. After we agreed and finalized the plan, they submitted it to the city for the permit. Since the architects and the construction team are under the same leadership of NuHome, in our case, Tony, this saves a lot of later potential integration problems between the architectural plans and the executions of the construction. During the construction, there were a few times that we changed our plans, for example, changing the size of the closet and pantry, Tony and the team were accommodating it; and in the middle of the construction, we were also changing the type and the number of outlets and the spot lights, Tony and the team were also incorporated that as well. We also had changed the plan for the TV ascent wall, and the team were fully in corporation and working with for the change, which turned out to be beautiful. Another area that really pleased and benefit us was NuHome has excellent interior designer who had worked with us closely in designing the bathrooms, and helping us picking up the right materials that worked perfectly for us, this saved us so much potential headache as we pretty much knew nothing in this field. The three bathroom designs turned out beautifully and exceeded our expectations. We would definitely attribute this to the team deep dedication of putting customers’ need first, in addition to the construction team’s skill set. The team has made sure to take care of our need from the very beginning to the end of the project, for little things like making sure we have the new lock after the whole project is done is even within their considerations, so we are moving into our new home feeling happy, comfortable and safe. “The general rule of thumb is to get at least 3 quotes before beginning any remodel. We were so impressed with Amir Levy from HQR that we chose to forgo this advice. Amir was the second contractor we reached out to, but we knew within the first 15 minutes of our consultation that we wanted him to lead our remodel. As it was our first time doing a full house remodel, we really had no idea what to expect. The first contractor we spoke to made grandiose claims about what they could accomplish and how easy everything would be as well as pressured us to sign a rushed and inaccurate SOW, all of which gave us bad vibes. In contrast, Amir was refreshingly realistic about the process of going through a full remodel, including going over with us all of our available options with the pros and cons of each option; what to consider and expect during each stage of the remodel; and typical remodeling challenges. After our consultation, he sent us a very detailed SOW within the promised time frame. As we were reviewing the SOW, he encouraged us to ask questions and be upfront with him about all of our concerns. Whatever concerns we had prior to signing the contract, he was able to address honestly and without any sugarcoating. We truly felt that he had our best interests in mind and wanted us to make the right decision for our home and family, regardless of who we went with. We ultimately signed with HQR because we felt that we could trust Amir. Amir understands full house remodels very well which made the entire process overall stress free for us. If we had questions about any phase, Amir was able to answer them; if he didn’t have the answers, he would search for them and get back to us. He also has a list of recommended vendors for each major phase. While he didn’t require us to go with his vendors, we ended up going with them 99% of the time because it greatly simplified things for us. We know we were not the easiest clients due to our perfectionist tendencies. However, Amir is also a perfectionist himself, and this is reflected in the quality of work that he delivered. No large project is completely without challenges so what matters to us is how those challenges are addressed. If there was ever a mistake in the work, he would have his workers fix it to his (very high) standards, no questions asked. There were even many instances where he pointed out and corrected mistakes that we would have never caught ourselves which is a reflection of his integrity and dedication to delivering quality work. As we progressed in the project and had a better idea of our remaining budget, we added several change orders. Amir made the change order process very straightforward by giving us reasonable quotes with full clarity on what would be included and excluded. We never felt like we had to negotiate with him, and there were never surprises about something not being covered. In summary, we feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Amir Levy. He is honest, hardworking, dependable, and passionate about his work. He keeps all of his promises no matter how large or small. Thanks to him, we went from having an outdated, mostly original 1970s home to what we finally feel is a beautiful home that reflects our family. We receive compliments from EVERYONE who visits.
