Here's the breakdown: 1) I had 3 different roof surfaces (1930s Spanish tiles, Tar & Gravel flat roof, and old torch down side roof) and needed the best roofing experts that could work on all 3 surfaces 2) I was also installing solar panels and needed a company that knew how to build roofing for solar installation Results: ELM did an incredible job on all 3 surfaces (repaired my tiles, redid my Tar & Gravel old roof with 3-layer torch down, and they gave my existing torch down another 10 years with a silicon coat) and they helped create a perfect solution around the 38 posts for my solar installation. They even introduced me to the right solar company to work with (much better and more affordable than the other solar companies I sourced myself). Rodrigo and Derek, my two project managers were incredibly professional and accommodating. As my plans changed during the roofing work, they adapted and offered the best service. They went above and beyond to fix issues beyond their scope of work. “Roof Express replaced the roof on our building with a torch down roof - a 3 layer Modified Bitumen Roofing system. Since our building is a 2 unit condominium - 2 owners - we had an independent roof inspection done first to determine replacement or repair. We had no leaks but there were areas that looked pretty worn and the roof age was estimated to be 25 to 35 years old so we chose replacement. Got multiple estimates and went with Roof Express due to 1. Roof assessor (Habibi) was very credible as an active project manager with other projects going in SF (not just a sales guy) and easy to work with 2. Price 3. Reviews and ratings 4. 10 year warranty on workmanship. Glad we did as the new roof appears to be very solid and durable & meticulously applied, the crew was courteous and hardworking and were very thorough on cleaning up our property and our neighbors and the roof did not leak at all with the December rains. During the project, Abu, the owner came by and inspected the work which I liked a lot. A slight bump was the scheduling, they told us the work would start in a month and a week later they emailed to say they would begin in 5 days so we scrambled a bit to make it work.
