“I hardly write reviews, but I felt the need to write a review about my positive experience at Lakeshore Oral Surgery. I was referred for wisdom teeth removal by my dentist and I’m so glad that they referred me here. I felt nervous about the process because I’m well into adulthood and wasn’t certain if the procedure and recovery would be prolonged and difficult. Thankfully, that hasn’t been the case and I was well prepared and educated throughout the process. Dr. Ephraim Aklilu was kind and compassionate. He took the time to get to know me a bit, communicated well throughout the process, and anticipated my needs and questions along with the nurses/assistants. The actual procedure went smoothly, and I had no discomfort during and right after. When the sedation/local anesthesia wore off, I was already equipped with prescriptions and information to feel well prepared for the recovery process so I did not feel confused/unprepared or like my pain was out of control. I personally have had no post procedure complications so I’m very happy with the results and my decision to have the procedure done at this clinic. Thank you Dr. Aklilu and team!”

“Dr. Williams and the staff here at Muir Oral Surgery are absolutely amazing! After receiving a referral to a different oral surgeon who wasn't able to see me for a couple of weeks, I consulted my dentist, who gave me a second referral to this office. Once referred, I was able to easily schedule a consultation for the next day, where I was able to schedule a wisdom tooth extraction appointment a week later. Originally, I was only referred to get my 2 lower wisdom teeth removed, but Dr. Williams insisted on removing my 1 remaining upper wisdom tooth, given that it would eventually need to be removed anyway. However, after my surgery experience, I wouldn't have minded coming back to get that one removed separately! Everyone working is extremely kind, efficient, and very comforting. This was my first time receiving IV sedation and I felt cared for every step of the way. Your comfort and safety is very clearly prioritized. Since the removal of my 3 teeth, I have had no pain, with just a bit of general discomfort. My swelling has been minimal and the post-operative instructions given are very helpful and easy to follow. I am excited about my post-operative appointment and delighted by my experience! I highly recommend this office for wisdom tooth removal!”

“I was referred to SF Bay Oral Surgery & Dental Implants by Dr. Galang of G Dental Group for oral surgery. I was very nervous and overwhelmed with the upcoming surgery. However, going in to my first consult with Dr. Sy, I felt a great sense of relief as Dr. Sy patiently explained the pre-surgery, surgery, and post-surgery processes in detail so I will know what to expect. Janice, the office manager, has been very helpful with assisting me in navigating the insurance and paperwork. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Sy’s assistant - Ana, did a wonderful job of keeping me calm and getting me settled in for surgery. I remember hearing Ana’s soothing voice tell me everything will be fine as I underwent sedation. Then, in what seemed like an instant, I woke up to hearing Ana tell me that the surgery was done and everything went fine. I was amazed at how quickly Dr. Sy worked and how my recovery process is without complications. I am truly blessed to have such a skilled surgeon perform my surgery. I also appreciate Adrian who conducted the post-op follow-up as he has been very patient and helpful in answering the many questions I have during my time of recovery. From beginning to end, my experience was nothing short of marvelous. Even though my visit was arranged at the end of the year, amid the usual holiday rush and confusion, the staff made everything feel seamless. Dr. Kang is undeniably gifted with his hands. Even after the surgery, I experienced minimal pain and very little bleeding, something that genuinely surprised me. For a moment, I felt like a Marvel character with superhuman recovery. The entire procedure went far beyond my expectations. Overall, the quality of care and dental service was exceptional. I had my molar pulled, and before I could even tell him how difficult my last extraction had been, he said, “It’s all done!” There was no struggling, breaking, or pounding on my tooth like with the last dentist. I have some pretty big roots to deal with, and he did it with such ease. Not only is Dr. Khoury fantastic, but so is his staff. His assistant, Andrea, is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Marjen Motallebi, DDS and RDA Edith were incredibly kind and professional. Even though my first appointment ran longer than expected, they made the time to finish my procedure that day. Most importantly, I was never made to feel embarrassed or shamed for how long it had been since I seen a dentist. My teeth were in rough shape. “I had my lower wisdom teeth and a molar removed, and I’m grateful they’re finally out so healing can begin. On a side note: the anesthesia experience was terrible. Weeks before Medi-Cal approved the surgery, I disclosed that I’m on Ozempic and prediabetic. Yet on the day of the procedure, as I’m already in the chair, the doctor tells me that because I’m on Ozempic and snore lightly, I’ll only receive light anesthesia. Let me tell you — it was so light I could have walked out and driven myself home afterward. I didn’t feel drowsy like promised; instead, I felt everything as the doctor was digging and cutting around in my mouth. Patients should be aware that anesthesia may not match what’s initially explained”
