Zips Car Wash - Wards Rd

“Avoid this place!!! The cons: This was my first visit to Zips, I got the $24 pro wash, and my car still came out really dirty. I've only been to an automatic car wash two other times (ModWash and Sheetz) and they were both much better with getting my car clean at a cheaper price (Sheetz was half the cost of Zips). The car overall was not cleaned well but some of the most uncleaned parts were the windshield, front end especially around the grill and headlights, lower side panels, wheels, the rear end, and the top part of the trunk which is flat. The parts that were best cleaned (but still dirty) were the hood, roof, windows, and upper side panels. I'm attaching a few photos for reference. Going in my car was of course dirty which is why I took it to get it washed, but it was not overly dirty or filthy. I was considering getting a subscription to Zips, but not now. I did submit a ticket so I'll see how they respond and then I will update my review. The pros: The two attendants before going through were nice and helpful, the place looked well taken care of and clean, and the vacuums were excellent. I'm still giving only 1 star because the entire point of me going to Zips is to get my car washed and clean, but that did not happen. My mom loved her wash but has a very large SUV. I have a small sedan so maybe the wash isn't designed for smaller vehicles. Update 1/20/2025: I emailed support the following day after the wash on 1/8 to let them know about the issue. They responded the same day asking for the location and I sent them the information and the photos. I have not heard anything more. The response to my review and me emailing support obviously goes nowhere as it has been 2 weeks after my car was washed so I would highly recommend you avoid this place!! To make matters worse, after posting my review and emailing support I noticed so much more dirt/dust on my car that afternoon so the wash was much worse than the photos depict. I added another photo of their email response to me messaging support.”

“Zips will zip you through but won’t get a car entirely clean. The guy who preps with a pre-soak covered half the car and couldn’t have cared less. I got the premium wash ($30!!!) on 12/16/2025. Won’t be back. Will also ask my wife to cancel her subscription for her car. I shouldn’t have to do the windows better at home for what I paid. The picture shows the worst, hard to see it here but it wasn’t clean at all. And I didn’t leave early, didn’t rush… just sloppy work for a regular sized Yukon. I should have kept the receipt, asked for a refund or ask to go through enough times to get it clean. After reading other reviews, positive ones are fake or old and as for the negative ones, the company doesn’t care - just stock responses but someone who probably doesn’t even know where the facility is located.”

“One of my friends told me that this is the best car wash in town but after reading the reviews, I was hesitant. However it IS the BEST car wash I've ever been to!!!! My car was covered in bird poop. However, it came out so clean I after I washed it and I'm so happy! The customer service is top notch!!! Makayala helped me (I'm sorry if i spelled your name wrong) and she was so nice and kind and truly made my day brighter🫶 and the other man working there was also amazing and truly seemed to care about his customers! “2nd time in few weeks I've been to this location and I will not be going back to ANY location. I was "greeted" by the same young lady both times and got the same terrible attitude both times. This time around I was already in the process of paying when she remotely canceled my selection on the kiosk from inside the building. When I attempted to input my selection again, she said "you have to order from me. What wash do you want?" I told her just the basic. She said "it's $18". I asked how it when from $12 to $18 in just a few weeks. She said "unless you use the app that wash isn't an option. So, since you have to buy from me, it's $18." When I asked "So, your forcing the upsell?" She just gave me a look seething with more attitude. I told her if that was the case I'll go somewhere else. She rolled her eyes and said "than wait for me to open the gate and you can leave. Emphasis on "leave". I'm a Retail SM and sales trainer, get the importance of the upsell, but not at the expense of the business' integrity and reputation.”

“With so many car washes opening in the last couple of years, my experience says this should be the last one to consider. It doesn’t get the car clean and the staff don’t present that they really could care less First, you drive in and are told their systems don’t work, and they are purely membership only going forward. After questioning they sold me a single car wash at their highest price. No receipt or option other than text. Next, you go through the car wash and notice at the exit that trash and debris are piled up at the exit, so as soon as you get the car clean you drive through trash, including a soda can to avoid and several plastic water bottles. You get out of the car and find it to not be clean. Multiple areas missed, bugs still in the front, mirrors, windshield, etc. This was pointed out to the attendant, who said all they could do was run through again, which I did. Not only did that not do any better, they ran a basic wash that took away the tire shine and drying actions I had paid for with their upsell. Pull into the vacuums and one not working. Other one beside the car was marginal at best. There are towels to dry what should have been done by the wash itself and all stacks of towels are cold and wringing wet, so that was fruitless as well. Based on my experience I will continue to caution everyone to choose a car wash wisely and steer clear of this one as to not be thoroughly disappointed.”
