“Writing as a long-time client of Wills & Associates, since long before Pete retired and the management took over, last year... I met Pete Wills in 2013 and LOVED working with his team every year since. Some years the returns are hard, others they're easy - Pete's team NEVER made a mistake. On time, accurate, and personal. Exactly what you want from an accounting team. Flash forward to Pete's retirement and the new "crew" taking over for FY'24. Bottom line, I'm finding a new accounting firm. I would recommend all long-time clients CHECK your returns for accuracy and, most importantly, congruency to your previous returns!! I know their tag line is something about personalized service, but after this year, I believe I could have gotten the same service from any random tax shop and saved a few hundred $$. Last year I would have given Pete's team 5-stars, but now I can't vouch for them. A sad outcome to what was such a great relationship for such a long time. My specific issues: 1. Everything is "in the portal" now, but they don't appear to maintain status, or progress - ZERO communications that I didn't initiate to check on things. Please, use your fancy new tech. 2. When you call, no one answers. I miss the days of Tina simply answering and helping - you don't need Tina, I know she's moved on, but you need A Tina. Please, answer the phone. 3. Basic return with no complicated situations pushed to the ABSOLUTE last minute for filing - they couldn't even tell me who was working on it until I was told they would be "working all weekend" to get it ready for this year's Monday filing date. 4. Inaccuracy in the return tracking estimated tax payments. It's an accountants job to accurately track that math. They didn't. EDIT: to your request that I contact you to resolve my concerns, I had a 30 minute conversation with Kevin, this morning, before I took the time to write this. How do you think that went?”
