Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is a 24/7 emergency and urgent care animal hospital in Palo Alto serving Santa Clara County and surrounding areas. Led by Medical Director Dr. Michael Hyder, VEG provides emergency surgery, diagnostics, ultrasounds, and specialized care for all pets including exotic animals and birds. The hospital distinguishes itself with an open floor plan allowing owners to stay with their pets throughout treatment, no-appointment walk-in access, transparent communication, and amenities like WiFi and overnight accommodations. VEG also operates a blood bank for canine donors to support life-saving transfusions across the community.
