The MV Skansonia

The MV Skansonia is Seattle's last wooden ferry and a premier waterfront wedding and events venue permanently docked on Lake Union. Built in 1929 and operated as a working ferry for decades, this historic vessel offers distinctive character with hand-carved wood details, polished wood floors, a signature center bar, and stunning views of downtown Seattle and the skyline. The venue accommodates 175–200 guests for receptions and provides on-site farm-to-fork catering through Herban Feast, which sources fresh produce from Fox Hollow Farm, along with full event coordination, AV equipment, and weather backup plans for ceremonies.
