“Sansa is my scottish, since moving to Charlotteville we were looking for a place that accepted new clients and knew how to do the grooming for this particular breed. Everything went amazing, I highly recommend them. Great service and attention to detail!”

“Can't say enough great things about the Dogg House! They were able to accomodate a fairly last minute request for boarding my dog. When I dropped her off, they were so sweet and treated her like one of their own. Will definitely use them again!”

“I absolutely love this place. We have boarded our dog multiple times from a long weekend to a week. The staff are genuine people who love dogs. They always greet my dog by name and make him feel like he's one of their own. The groomers are amazing as well. My dog always smells amazing, and the length of his nails are just right. Pricing is affordable, and I love that he can travel with some of his things to make him comfortable. If you are considering boarding or grooming for your dog, I would highly recommend The Dogg House.”

“Megan is very sweet with Bella, my 17 yo Shih Tzu, and has groomed both her and her late brother, Luca, for many years. Folks at the Dogg House are very accommodating and the environment is clean!”

“Not my cup of tea as a grooming model. I have a 40lb husky who I have gotten groomed every 2 months since I’ve had her the last three years. We recently moved from the west coast, and so i had trouble finding a groomer (different vaccine requirements + places fully booked) and we were closer to four months. However, within that time she had gotten self wash baths, walk in nail trims, and my own trimming at home for anything crazy. I was glad to be finally be able to get her into the Dogg house, and was initially quoted $80. I’ve never paid that much even after tip on the west coast, but figured getting her in trumped price shopping. I was told over the phone that sometimes extra charges occur, and that it was $1 for every minute. So when I arrived, I told the groomer “I’d like you to do whatever to her within the standard groom”. This was because she asked if I wanted a de-shed and reiterated whatever she could get done in the time given. When I went to pick my dog up, the charge was $100 for “20 extra minutes of hand scissoring). I declined to speak to the groomer to ask further about the chargers, frustrated that 1. I had clearly communicated what my interests entailed for my dogs groom and 2. When doing the consult the groomer made no mention of her assessment and whether additional charges would be necessary. I paid and left. I am unsure what a “groom” at the dog house includes but if it is a bath, dry, and nail trim then the price of $80 seems high. Huskys are not meant to be shaved, so hand scissoring is to be expected, especially since she only ever gets a frame in. That would be the typical haircut portion of the groom. She looked fine at the end of it, so I don’t think the cut is bad. I’m simply sharing my experience to further expand how the additional charging for grooms seems very subjective and poorly communicated, which might not be a good fit for some (like myself)”
