I’ve been very discouraged with the lack of communication with contractors in the past and had reservations heading into a big project 1.5+ hours from our home base. Shaun and his team allayed any of my concerns from the start. Their communication with us has been exceptional since day one. There hasn’t been a single question left unanswered. Every phone call and text message has been responded to near immediately. I am personally so appreciative of this. But best of all is that Shaun and his team treat us as if we’re neighbors and not a client or a number. We’ve put our heart and finances into this vacation home and Shaun and his team have made me feel like they completely understand what it means to us and will do right by us. Personable: for me, it’s important to enjoy the people you work with, particularly when they are working on your home and the place you’ll be building future memories. They filled in the gaps that I couldn’t see - that perhaps I needed more recessed lighting in the kitchen, for example, because there isn’t a whole lot of natural light. Or that we could remove the floor heaters entirely to free up space. They didn’t serve a purpose anymore and it’s those seemingly small details that when added up, make an enormous difference. Last but absolutely not least, the work: What was once a cute but somewhat outdated home is now exceptional. The results are stunning and the work speaks for itself. Shaun and his team renovated two bathrooms for us and completed an entire kitchen renovation. All of the visions I had of what this little cottage could be - they brought to life. We are so so happy with the results. This is only the beginning of our plans to buy and renovate properties at Lake Anna and S&M has 100% of our future business.”
