“Within the first few minutes of my consultation, it was clear Mr. Hagy was an expert of his craft. He knows the law and quickly discussed my situation from my side and from the opposing side. I told Mr. Hagy what I needed done and what had been agreed upon. Mr. Hagy then took the information and created the legal framework for a contract of what had previously only been verbally agreed upon. I was impressed with the documents Mr. Hagy produced and after they were finalized it relieved a lot of the stress around the situation coming from the unknown potential outcomes. I think any person who routinely has no interaction with the court system then one day finds themselves needing legal services will be stressed about the situation. It is important to remember that the legal systems gears grind slowly and nothing happens overnight. Mr. Hagy gave me the confidence to endure through the finalization of the situation. Even though it took longer than I wanted I'm glad that it was done professionally and correct. The legal system is not a DIY project. I felt better about the situation knowing I had an experienced local attorney who's daily job is working through our court systems. Mr. Hagy's support staff were friendly and helpful. They kept me up to date on the progress and were always helpful answering any questions I had. I will use Mr. Hagy's services again if the need arises.”

“If I could give him 0 stars I would. I was subpoened recently to appear as a witness in a divorce proceeding for a woman I purchased 136 dollars of cabinet doors for nine years ago. I don't think I ever met her or her husband. I called Hagy's law office repeatedly asking why I had to miss two days of work -- I'm self-employed -- for this. No answer. What a waste of the client's money, since I'm sure she was charged for issuing the subpoena. 0 stars, would not recommend. EDIT: Also, he has threatened to sue me for leaving a negative review. I'm not sure this is the kind of lawyer one wants to hire.”

“Mr Hagy was nice and courteous on the first meeting. However, a month later he had done nothing on my case and stopped returning my calls (seems to be a pattern with Cville lawyers). I got my retainer refunded and filed my paperwork on my own with success. Given that most clients looking for his service are already bruised by maladaptive behaviors, communication gulfs, and divorce, I cannot recommend him.”
