“We've had our daughter at Julia Ross Professional Tutoring for the last two years, and it’s made a huge difference in how she handles her science and math. Those classes were really tough for her — constant stress and a lot of frustration. The tutors are patient and explain things in ways that actually make sense to her. They focus on real understanding instead of just memorizing steps, and that’s helped her build confidence and keep up with the material. A few honest points: 1. Sessions are in 2-hour blocks, and you’re locked into that schedule. That can be hard to fit around sports, school events, and other activities. They do their best, though, to accommodate one-off schedule changes and ensure that the tutor working at that time has expertise in to course needing tutoring. 2. Because you're doing two hour blocks it seems pricey but when you look at the hourly fee it is very comparable to other tutoring services. I was skeptical about the cost and the time commitment at first, but two years in, I can say it’s been worth it. The consistent support has made a big impact on how she manages those hard classes and how she feels about them.
