Podnah's Pit Barbecue is Portland's original craft barbecue restaurant, operating since 2006, featuring authentic Texas-style BBQ smoked daily in a wood-burning pit. Founded by Rodney Muirhead and named after his Texas butcher grandfather, the restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily, Sunday brunch, and offers full catering services for events. Recognized by Food Network as Best BBQ in Oregon and Willamette Week as Restaurant of the Year, Podnah's combines traditional scratch cooking with local craft beer and margarita offerings.
