Mama Ricotta's is Charlotte's iconic family-style Italian restaurant, serving traditional Italian-American cuisine from founder Frank Scibelli's family recipes for over three decades. The kitchen makes nearly everything from scratch—sauces, soups, sausages, bread, desserts, and famous fresh mozzarella (never more than 24 hours old)—using imported Italian ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes, Locatelli Romano cheese, and Double Zero flour, plus local produce from Charlotte farmers' markets.
