Franklin Barbecue is an acclaimed Austin institution serving premium wood-smoked barbecue made from USDA Prime brisket, heritage Duroc pork ribs and shoulders, and carefully raised turkeys. Open Tuesday-Sunday for lunch until sold out (typically 2-3pm), the restaurant sources only naturally raised, premium meats with exceptional marbling and flavor. Beyond their flagship East 11th Street location, Franklin Barbecue also operates Franklin Backyard, a dedicated event space available for weddings, corporate events, rehearsal dinners, and private celebrations, plus Uptown, a sister restaurant offering steak, burgers, and cocktails.
