Twin Falls City Pool is a municipal aquatics facility operated by the Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department, serving the Twin Falls, Idaho community year-round. Located at 756 Locust Street North, the pool has been a cornerstone of local recreation for families, fitness enthusiasts, and competitive swimmers. The facility is currently undergoing a building modernization project that includes upgrades to locker rooms, new unisex showers and restrooms, a family/ADA all-in-one restroom/shower, an improved lobby, and expanded program space, demonstrating the city's commitment to providing modern, accessible aquatic facilities for all residents.
The pool offers a comprehensive range of programs designed to serve swimmers of all ages and abilities. Swim instruction programs include traditional swim lessons, toddler lessons, Water Babies for infants, Jr. Lifeguard Camp, and private swim lessons, ensuring every child and adult can learn water safety and swimming skills at their own pace. For competitive swimmers, the facility is home to two swim teams, including the Hurricane Swim League, a developmental program run by the City Pool that helps young swimmers progress from recreational to competitive levels. Adults can participate in water fitness classes, adult swim lessons, and special events like kayak nights, making the pool a hub for health and wellness across all age groups.
Daily recreational opportunities at Twin Falls City Pool include lap swim sessions for continuous exercise and training, open swim for families and casual swimmers, and access to fun play features like the WiggleTrack, The Tower, diving boards, water basketball, and shallow slides. The facility maintains a structured schedule with lap lanes available throughout most of the day, and designated open swim times when the entire pool is available for recreational use. The pool also offers Red Cross Certification Classes for those looking to become certified lifeguards or Water Safety Instructors (WSI), providing hands-on training in water rescues, CPR/AED, first aid, and teaching swim lessons.
Twin Falls City Pool is also a popular destination for birthday parties and group events. Party packages include admission for up to 15 swimmers, a 15-foot picnic table reservation for 2 hours, and access to the pool's exciting play features. The facility operates with a clear focus on safety and community accessibility, requiring children under 8 to have an adult present in the facility and children 5 and under to be within arm's reach of a supervising adult in the water. Memberships, punch passes, and daily admission options make the pool accessible to both regular users and occasional visitors, with online account management available through the DASH system for convenient membership purchases and program registration.

How much does it cost to use Twin Falls City Pool?
The pool offers several options: annual memberships (pricing available on their website), punch passes for multiple visits, and daily admission for single-use. Memberships can be purchased online through the DASH system at tfid.org/citypool. Facility access grants entry to the pool and amenities, though some programs like swim lessons, swim teams, and birthday parties require separate registration fees. Contact (208) 735-3464 for current membership and admission pricing.
What swim lesson programs are available, and who can enroll?
Twin Falls City Pool offers swim instruction for all ages: Water Babies for infants, Toddler Lessons, traditional Swim Lessons for children and adults, Jr. Lifeguard Camp for older kids, and Private Swim Lessons for one-on-one instruction. Adult swim lessons are also available. All programs can be registered for online through the website. The pool's instructors teach water safety and skill progression appropriate to each age and ability level, from first-time swimmers to those preparing for competitive swimming or lifeguard certification.
What are the lap swim hours, and do I need to be an experienced swimmer?
Lap swim is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6am-7pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-7pm; Saturday from 9-11am; and Sunday from 11am-3pm. Lap swim is designated for continuous exercise and training. Both shallow and deep lanes are available, and the number of lanes fluctuates throughout the day. When multiple swimmers share a lane, circle swimming is expected. Lap swim is open to anyone looking for fitness-focused swimming, from beginners working on endurance to experienced swimmers training for competition.
What should I expect on my first visit to the pool?
During the building modernization project, the front desk has been relocated to the bubble entrance, and mobile shower and restroom trailers are set up in the parking lot (hot water may be inconsistent in winter). When you arrive, you'll check in at the front desk, where you can purchase a day pass, punch pass, or membership (or show your existing pass). Children under 8 must have an adult (18+) present in the facility, and children 5 and under must be within arm's reach of an adult or someone at least 5 feet tall in the water. Portions of the deep end may be closed at certain times for swim team practice, lap swim, or The Tower. The pool offers both recreational open swim times and structured lap swim times—check the daily schedule online before you visit.
Are swim tests required, and what are they for?
Children ages 6-14 must pass a swim test to use the WiggleTrack, The Tower, and diving boards. This ensures kids have the swimming ability to safely use these features. Children 5 and under must wear a red wristband and be accompanied by an adult at all times in and out of the water, regardless of swim ability. Swim tests are administered by pool staff and focus on basic swimming competency and water safety.
Does the pool offer birthday party packages?
Yes, birthday parties can be booked for Fridays (5-7pm), Saturdays (11am-1pm, 1:30-3:30pm, or 4-6pm), and Sundays (12-2pm). Packages are $85 plus tax and include admission for up to 15 swimmers (additional swimmers $4 each), a 15-foot picnic table for 2 hours, and access to play features like the WiggleTrack, water basketball, and shallow slides. You can bring food, cake, drinks, and decorations. Non-swimming guests are included at no extra cost. Register online at tfid.org/citypool or on the information desk iPad. Prohibited items include glitter, confetti, glassware, alcohol, and amplified sound systems.
How do I join the Hurricane Swim League or other swim teams?
The Hurricane Swim League is a developmental swim team program provided by Twin Falls City Pool, designed for young swimmers progressing from recreational to competitive levels. The pool also hosts additional competitive swim teams. Registration for the Hurricane Swim League can be completed online through the website's swim teams section. These programs are ideal for kids who have completed basic swim lessons and are ready for more structured training, stroke refinement, and team competition.
Can I get lifeguard certified at Twin Falls City Pool?
Yes, the pool offers Red Cross Certification Classes for Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) credentials. Participants receive hands-on training in water rescues, CPR/AED, first aid, emergency response, and (for WSI) how to plan and teach safe, effective swim lessons for all ages and ability levels. These certifications are nationally recognized and open career opportunities in aquatics. Check the Red Cross Certification Classes section of the website for upcoming class schedules and registration details.
“The staff were very rude. And the lifeguards were SO whistle-happy. They blew their whistle at literally everything (they blew their whistle on us passing the basketball to each other, among other ridiculous things) and we felt like we couldn’t do anything other than stand still in the kids area. We asked a lifeguard if my daughter could do the obstacle course and he had her do the swim test. He said she did great and passed, but she still can’t do the obstacle course because she has a red wristband… then why did you have her do the test in the first place?! Just tell us if she has a wristband that she can’t do it in the first place, but now that you had her do the test and she passed then why can’t she do it? Considering the lifeguards won’t let you do anything at all, they should really have something else fun to do for kids like a splash pad area or something. Why would I pay over $20 for my family to stand still in the shallow area. Unfortunately Twin Falls doesn’t have any competition for indoor swimming pools.”

“This is a really nice public pool. Well maintained with several activities available for kids to adults. Year round facility thanks to an inflatable bubble for the winter months. Plans to remodel and update the admin/locker rooms are in the works.”

“Good pool only one major problem - they think they are a Roaring spring size pool and feel the need to charge a SPECTATE fee of $5! What a bunch of crap! I’m already paying for my kids to swim but now they need me to pay to watch them.”
— Jason Pollard, Google Review
“Hope the staff particularly the front desk receives basic customer service training— particularly in how to address guests respectfully and professionally.”
