“We’ve had such a great experience with this program! The kids are learning practical self-defense, but also so much more; discipline, confidence, and skills they can actually use in everyday life. Coach has a great way of being firm when needed, but still connecting with the kids so they really get it. One of my favorite things is seeing how they are able to help newer students and take pride in what they’ve learned; it’s been awesome for their confidence. Now they’re even practicing at home on their own because they want to do better, which says a lot. And the little lessons Coach shares have really stuck. Things like “slow is smooth, smooth is fast” and reminding each other it’s okay to mess up as long as you keep trying, do your best, and do it right the first time.
