“I normally do not leave bad reviews on businesses, I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But I would advise anyone who is looking for legal advice for child custody and divorce to not go through John Stapleton. He was good in the beginning, truly. My boyfriend hired him in March and it’s now October and there is still no court date set to have his case settled with his ex and getting 50/50 custody for his daughter. He has completely ghosted him, will not reply to messages when just asking for an update. When we call, they say they can’t tell us anything and will let us know if something happens. That’s been over a month ago. He required $5K up front, which is a lot more expensive than a normal attorney would charge around our hometown and to not help his clients at all is disappointing. We thought we hired a really great lawyer, he was going to get things done, my boyfriend has been through hell with his ex and we just want it to be over. They seem to not care whatsoever, he doesn’t realize how this affects people lives. I would just advise anyone to look elsewhere for their legal matters.”
