I'd dealt with lower back pain for three years that kept flaring up during deadlifts and squats. After my corrective exercise assessment at Solidarity, my coach identified that my glutes weren't activating and my hip flexors were incredibly tight. Six weeks of targeted work and I'm lifting pain-free…

Desk job destroyed my posture and gave me constant neck and shoulder tension. Corrective exercise at Solidarity taught me exactly why I was in pain and what to do about it. The home exercises they gave me take 15 minutes a day and have made a huge difference. I actually understand my body now…

After a knee injury, physical therapy got me back to walking but I couldn't return to running without pain. Corrective exercise bridged that gap—we found hip weakness and ankle mobility issues my PT didn't address. Now I'm running 5Ks again without knee pain. The detailed assessment and progressive…

    Your Questions

Will corrective exercise hurt or make my pain worse?
    +
Corrective exercise should not cause pain. You may feel muscles working that haven't activated properly in a while, and some muscle soreness from foam rolling or activation work is normal, but sharp pain or worsening symptoms are not. Your coach will work within your tolerance and adjust exercises as needed. The goal is to reduce pain over time by addressing its root causes, not create more discomfort.
How quickly will I see results and feel better?
    +
Most clients notice improved body awareness and reduced pain within 2-4 sessions as they learn to move more efficiently. Measurable improvements in mobility and posture typically appear within 4-6 weeks with consistent practice. Fully correcting long-standing imbalances usually takes 8-12 weeks or more. The key is consistency—both attending sessions and practicing your home program accelerates progress significantly.
Do I need to stop my regular workouts during corrective exercise?
    +
Not necessarily. Your coach will help you modify your training to avoid aggravating dysfunction while you work on corrections. Many clients continue training with adjustments—avoiding certain movements temporarily, reducing load, or modifying exercise selection. As your movement improves, you'll gradually reintegrate full training. Some clients find corrective exercise actually helps them train harder and more effectively by eliminating limitations.
What should I wear and bring to corrective exercise sessions?
    +
Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows your coach to see your body alignment and movement—fitted workout clothes work well. Bring athletic shoes if you have specific footwear you train in, though some assessment and exercises may be done barefoot. No special equipment needed—your coach provides foam rollers, bands, and any other tools. Just bring openness to learning about your body and commitment to practicing between sessions.
