I cannot say enough good things about Hollymead Animal Hospital — they turned a mini dog-parent panic into a totally manageable (and dare I say… slightly embarrassing) moment. My German Shepherd, Winney, decided to follow her dreams of becoming a competitive speed-eating champion and swallowed chicken wings like she was on a cooking show with a cash prize. As a precaution, we rushed her in — cue me spiraling and Winney acting like absolutely nothing had happened. From the second we walked in, the receptionists were calm, kind, and didn’t make me feel ridiculous for being that dog mom. They got us checked in quickly while I explained, for the 12th time, “She doesn’t usually do this… she’s normally a lady.” The techs were amazing — gentle, patient, and clearly experienced with both nervous pets and dramatic owners. They handled Winney with so much care and kept me informed without using scary, confusing jargon. And a huge shoutout to Dr. Achmetov — professional, reassuring, and wonderfully down-to-earth. He explained everything clearly, walked us through what to watch for, and made sure we felt confident going home. No panic, no pressure, just solid, compassionate care. Winney is doing great (and is now banned from all poultry-related activities), and I left feeling relieved, informed, and very grateful. If you want a vet team that’s skilled, compassionate, and won’t judge your dog’s questionable life choices, this is the place. 💛🐶

Great facility. They don’t mess around. My dog was sick with a dangerous bacterial infection. They made space to see us on short notice and solved the problem with a comprehensive solution. 24 hours later my dog is resting easy. Dr. McKenna and the team were superstars. I owe them my deepest thanks.

Wow ! I’m glad I found Hollymead animal vet ! I had an urgent care dog with possible pancreatitis. My regular vet could not fit me in their Sat schedule. Luckily Hollymead had more Sat hours and I got my dog seen by a wonderful vet tec and Vet . Super friendly at desk on the phone and in the waiting area . I’m switching to them for regular care now on both dogs . We were so well cared for . All options were explained carefully and kindly . 5 GOLD STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I thought my 14 year old dog was having a stroke. It was very scary, He wad disoriented, head tilted and couldn’t stand. I called and was able to immediately bring him in and this was a Saturday morning when our vet was closed. Hollymead Vets were so compassionate, as I was a basket case. The techs and office help got him in right away and after an exam found he had Vestibular disease which is similar to Vertigo in humans. He was treated and released with medication and is doing great! I cannot thank them enough and they also wanted to know how he was doing the next day! What wonderful customer service. I am very grateful. It is great to know they are open on weekends if needed. Thank you and kudos to Dr Holm and her staff.

Hollymead Venerinary Hospital was very accommodating and saw her right away. She was given great care by the staff and doctor we needed a vet close to our home as we are new to this area. Pricing was very affordable also. Thanks Again!!!
