Air Nerds is top notch in my book! My heat pump decided to die after 8 Yrs! I called Air Nerds Friday evening, and they arrived first thing Sat morning, diagnosed the issue. Brian the service tech was really first class! He explained the issue very clearly and gave me honest feedback on where things stood. I decided to install a new heat pump and he was here that Monday with his crew to install the new unit. But in the meantime, before he left on Sat, he loaned me 2 space heaters, so that we would not freeze before the new unit was installed! Talk about GREAT SERVICE! Thank you Brian!! I also worked with James, Air Nerds owner, and he was very patient explaining the differences between models. I called him multiple times trying to decide which model to buy, and he was very gracious every single time! And they are reasonably priced! Glad I found them!

On November of 2024, I purchased a home in Lake Anna which was built in 2022. Prior to my purchase, it was a full time rental with capacity up to 28 people. Now you can imagine how much abuse the HVAC system was put through in those 2 years. Since I purchased this home, we have had issues with 2 of the 3 units. I called Air Nerds on 12/23/2025 due to a short cycling fan on one unit and a loud condenser on the second unit. They were able to come out the very next morning, resolve the short cycling issue and troubleshoot the second unit. Both units are still under warranty and they worked with Trane to get the parts as soon as possible. At the end of the job, I was supplied with very detailed analysis and proof the the fix in the form of various pictures taken before and after. Thus far, service is top notch and I was informed throughout the process. One of the best part of their service is their dispatch system. It texts/emails you when the tech in on the way and you can view their exact location on the map. Due to all these reasons, I have signed up for their annual spring/fall inspection and will be using them for all my HVAC needs. Kudos to Brian, Allen, Darius, Phillip, and the owner James.

First of all, Thank You Air Nerds for fixing my furnace ignitor. The tech, Brian was friendly and resolved my issue. However, I truly believe that the charge for the fix was a bit overpriced to replace a $20 part (Found it online). I was charged a total of $450 to replace the ignitor. They first charged me $125 to diagnose the problem (I did tell them prior that I thought it was the ignitor). Brian then said that he would be back later with the ignitor. This is where I made my mistake, I should have asked him the cost to replace it (Or better yet, it would have been nice for Air Nerds to tell me!). This way if I thought it was too high, I could either replace it myself (I replaced it once before but forgot where it was located) or call around for estimates. I do have a heat pump and this was keeping the house warm enough, this was for the gas backup heat. So, Air Nerds did the job but I think $450 was a bit steep for a simple fix. I did search online and it said that this type of fix usually cost between $150 to $350 professionally, including parts ($20-$100) and labor ($75-$150). Anyway, I hope this review helps you decide whether Air Nerds is the way to go! One more note, they did arrive a half hour late! They first asked me if 8am or 9am would work, I told them 8am. After about 20 minutes, I emailed them and they apologized and said that someone was on their way.

I had an exceptional experience with this HVAC company! From start to finish, they were professional, timely, and incredibly knowledgeable. Once I scheduled my appointment, they were able to come out quickly, which was a huge relief. What stood out most was their honest approach — instead of jumping straight to recommending expensive equipment or installations, they thoroughly assessed our heating issue and explained everything clearly along the way. They took the time to walk me through what they were checking and what they were able to do, which I truly appreciated. Their respect for our home was evident as well; they were careful to cover their shoes and keep the work area clean. It’s rare to find a company that combines skill, integrity, and great customer service so seamlessly. I highly recommend them and will absolutely call them again for future HVAC needs!

This is the second service from Air Nerds. Both were professional and a real pleasure to deal with. Our issue was taken care of with just a service for now but we will return for replacement when time comes. Thank You for 5 Star Service. Robin Booth Mineral Virginia
